Superficiality
The building I worked in was huge. It was impressive. There were all kinds of exhibits and art displayed throughout. And the grounds were nice too.
But if you looked closely, you'd realize that it was all superficial. The water in the lake (pond?) was dirty, riddled with algae. The glass of the windows was never cleaned and was smudged and dirty. I should not have been taking pictures of buildings according to "policy" but there probably wasn't enough security to stop me even if they noticed what sinister plot I might be hatching.
They were even skimping on paper and toner for the printers, which we needed to complete what they were asking us to do!
Oh, well, I got some good shots in. :)
