This is the first of 12 small art quilts (10"x10") during 2010. I used Lesley Riley's new TAP paper for the transfers (3), a canvas background with an acrylic wash (gold), stained tissue paper that I painted, thread painting in the body of the large bird, and metallic thread in the quilting layer.
