QUEENOFTHENIGHT 5897
Queen of the Night Bloom cluster, Night-blooming Cereus, Deer-Horn Cactus, Peniocercus greggii. RARELY seen in the wild because they only bloom for a few hours one night a year, in June or July. The rest of the year they look like a dead bush. Found where desert soil is sandy and dry. Have large root tubers that taste like a potato. Used by Native Americans for food.
Behind Casa de Smiiff, NSPD, Marana, Arizona.
