Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, Crotalus atrox, 34 - 84 in / 86.4 - 213 cm. Largest western rattlesnake found in arid and semiarid areas from plains to mountains; brushy desert, rocky canyons, river bluffs and sparsely-vegetated rocky foothills. Sea level to 7,000 ft / 2,100 m.

 

Capable of fatal bites! Do not need to be coiled to strike and can jump up to 1/3 of their body length.
