196 - Day of the root
May seem a strange shot but it tells a story. I have just reached my fill of being stuck on Android v1.6 while there is Android v2.1and Android v2.2 operating systems out there for my phone. You see I have a T-mobile G2 Touch which is effectively a name change of the HTC Hero with T-mobile stuff put on top of the base code. This means that whenever Android and HTC release the base operating system, T-mobile sit on it to 'test' it and release it with the add ons normally a month plus later.
After various investigations, my phone miraculously has moved from Android v1.6 to Android v2.1 and I have a new operating system to play with. And I now own a HTC Hero not a G2 Touch
