My son, who loves nature and all living things shows great care when he handles the creatures he discovers.

 

We found quite a few of these beach-colored toads as we walked back to the parking lot late at night.

 

I believe it is a Fowler's toad (Anaxyrus fowleri) It was hopping around in the dry sand near the Marconi Beach dunes.
