Slipper Shells

Piles and piles of Atlantic slippersnail shells (Crepidula fornicata) . The slipper snail or its shell is also referred to as a boat shell, quarterdeck shell, fornicating slipper snail, Atlantic slipper limpet or common slipper limpet. I have never seen so many in one place as on this beach at Tod,s Point in Greenwich, Connecticut - USA
