Strange Pods
November 24, 2016
These are Jimsonweed pods (Datura stramonium) in the nightshade family. It's also called: thornapple, moon flower, toloache, hell's bells, devil’s trumpet, devil’s weed, tolguacha, Jamestown weed, stinkweed, locoweed, pricklyburr, and devil’s cucumber
Aside from being an attractive plant for monarch butterflies, It is also; decorative, invasive, medicinal, poisonous, hallucinogenic, etc. Just what I've read so far.
