The Mountain's of Boulder

August 14, 2016

Bathed in morning light, Bear Peak and Green Mountain (with it's rocky "Flatirons") rise about 2000 feet (600 meters) above the town of Boulder.

The red-roofed stone structures are the University of Colorado athletic buildings. Note the creative architecture that reflects the shape of the large rocky outcroppings (called "flatirons") on the mountains behind.

This facade as well as the solar panels are new additions to the campus since I last saw it in 2001.
