The Crosby Beach ice sheet breaking off from the beach.

 

With the change in temperatures, the ice has been steadily melting. This crack formed when the ice sheet was still solid and packed in. It's been getting wider every day. The rest of the huge chunks floated off toward Orleans, Eastham, Wellfleet, Truro and Provincetown.
