Pantherophis obsoetus (western rat snake)

I keep pulling these out of my chicken nesting boxes. They usually have at least two eggs in them. My neighbors think I'm nuts for not killing them. I figure they are doing what rat snakes do, plus im the one tempting them with free food! I made this one pose when I released it and for this, I got myself bitten.

While I'm not interested in killing these snakes, I do need to take them farther down the road. I'm pretty sure I've removed this one at least once before.
