Plum Blossom Special~ Eight-Spotted Forester Moth (Alypia octomaculata)
Well, March came in like an Eight-Spotted Forester Moth, here, and I'm loving that! Every year, I anxiously await the first plum tree blossoms at Weeks Bay, knowing they are a magnet for these tiny but beautiful moths! Yesterday was a perfect Spring day without a cloud in the sky and pleasant temps, as this guy provided an hours long challenge for shots as it flitted around the plum tree!
