Golgotha
This sculpture is a representation of Christ's victory over Death when He was crucified on the hill called Golgotha (or 'the place of the skull').
On top of the skull are scriptures that speak of the crucifixion, salvation, His resurrection, etc... The two scriptures on the forehead read: "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven..." and "I am he that liveth and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death..."
The two hanging keys represent the keys of heaven and hell.
The red nails represent all the sins He took upon himself at the cross.
