New Industrial Drive is Open Today. Cathy Burke, President of Bristol Town Council and Ron Yoder of Niblock Excavating prepare to open the new Industrial Drive. At 9am on Friday, June 6, 2014, Eleachea Sanders, INDOT (Indiana Dept. of Transportation) Permit Inspector of the Elkhart Sub-District met with Bristol Town Officials Cathy Burke, Town Council President; Delbert Schrock, Town Council Member; Bill Wuthrich, Town Manager; Rob Dunlap, Jones Petrie Rafinski; and Ron Yoder and Chad Niblock of Niblock Excavating of Bristol for a final inspection and official opening the the new Industrial Drive linking the Earthway Industrial Park and S.R. 15 South in Bristol, Indiana. Although there are a few minor issues to be checked next week, the road is now open to traffic and will provide better access to the Earthway Drive Industrial Park where Utilimaster is located. The Town Council plans to hold an official ribbon cutting ceremony in the near future. Although the road had been scheduled to be open by the end of May, heavy rains during the past few weeks delayed the opening by a few days. The 45 acres now annexed into the Town of Bristol is located on the south edge of Bristol and includes Maple Street, C.R. 10 and the new Industrial Drive. The next stage in the plan is to convert C.R. 10 on the south edge of the property into a cul-de-sac which will prevent exit of C.R. 10 onto S.R. 15 South. Traffic will then use the new Industrial Drive to access Maple Street and C.R. 23 to the Industrial areas.
