GWR Hall-Class 4900 Hogwarts Express | LEGO
A model of a British tender locomotive of the "Hall class" 4900. 259 units of this locomotive were built between 1924 and 1943. These universal locomotives were used in both passenger and freight traffic. The locomotive "Olton Hall" with train number 5972, the film locomotive of the Harry Potter films, attracted special attention. According to the book, the locomotive was repainted in a red colour.
The model of the locomotive is 66 studs long and 10 studs wide and consists of approx. 1089 individual parts. It can be driven by a Power Functions L-motor. The IR-receiver and the battery box find quite comfortably place in the large tow tender. The model is equipped in both available variants with numerous details, like pipes, chassis, or the detailed driver's cab.
The model has been specially designed for the use of "Big Ben Bricks" railway wheels, but can also be equipped with standard LEGO wheels by making small adjustments.
