Lego E-Type (WiP)
Here's my first shot at a Series 1 Jaguar E-Type gone Speed Champion.
Major parts of the roof/windshield assembly are hinged, which gives the cab that typical rounded silhouette and a nice transition from 6 to 4 wide, but leaves a couple of tradeoffs to deal with (side windows, center part of the roof, windshield angle).
Another unsolved issue is color. I intend to use the new shorter 2018 fenders to be launched with some of the upcoming Speed Champions sets. From what we know so far, they will come in dgreen, white and red. The above dark green version would be my favorite, but unfortunately the 1x4x1 curved slopes are not available (yet) in that color. Red is somewhat reserved for Ferraris, so it'll be either white or I'll have to revert back to existing fenders (parts 18974 or 98282) and try out dbley, black or dark red.
Any ideas? Comments? Criticism? Suggestions?
