[The Survivors RPG] 12x12 Challenge | "The Search for Beskar"
Location: Coruscant
///Log Entry\\\
After our encounter with a Sith assassin on Coruscant, I wanted to take some precautions. I'd heard rumors that there was a weapons dealer selling beskar in the Coruscant underworld, so I decided to go off the radar and try to find him. I was reluctant to take Sev with me, especially since so many of my fellow Survivors had recently betrayed our cause. I had a bad feeling that he was undercover with the Imperials. There was something about him... he reminded me of an Imperial. Brendol Hux? Veers, maybe? It was an uncanny feeling, but I couldn't put my finger on it.
Sev's story was that he was a test subject for Imperial experiments, and he had escaped. He said the Sith assassin was tasked with hunting him down so that he couldn't share any intel with the New Republic. Not the most convincing story, I know. But it was better for the kid to stay where I could keep a close eye on him. And if he was telling the truth, he had to be protected at all costs.
I took the Golden Nexu, and Sev rented an airspeeder. The weapons dealer was not someone who was easily found, and I suspected he liked it that way. Finally, I found his shop and told Sev to meet me there. The weapons dealer was polishing a blaster rifle when I walked in.
"I've heard you sell beskar weapons," I said.
He scowled and continued polishing the rifle. "Beskar only grows in its value, and you don't seem like the sort who can afford it."
"I think you'll be surprised at what I can afford," I said.
The weapons dealer's response was cut off as Sev trudged through the door. The dealer looked up from his polishing and squinted at Sev through his cybernetic eye.
"I am not a man who is often surprised," the weapons dealer responded quietly.
He stared at Sev for a few moments, then disappeared into a back room and returned with the weapon. It was a beskar axe, intricately carved and honed to a deadly edge. The perfect weapon for dealing with a Sith assassin.
I eagerly reached for the weapon, but the weapons dealer shook his head. He handed the weapon to Sev. "I see the spark of a warrior in this one. The blood of a great fighter flows in his veins, yes?"
Sev seemed surprised by the weapons dealer, and he took the weapon carefully.
I frowned. "Hey, the kid's not the only one with warrior spark," I said, taking the weapon from Sev. "He's also not the one with the credits," I added.
The weapons dealer smirked. "Credits are not what I want."
"Great," I said. "Free weapon."
He pointed out the window at the Golden Nexu. "That speeder. I like it very much."
"Yeah, well I like it very much too," I said. "Let's talk credits, shall we?"
"The speeder or no beskar."
"Now you listen to me, you nerf herder. You're not gonna-"
"The speeder or no beskar."

This is my entry to the 12x12 challenge for the Survivors RPG. I was originally planning for a smaller build but decided to go ahead and make this build 12x12.
God bless!
