GoogleDesktopIndexing

I downloaded Google Desktop this morning so that I'd have some proper indexing on my home computer - my laptop, as minimal as its file base is (I don't keep much on there that's not already on the desktop), is very efficient at finding things thanks to my tryout of Google Desktop, so now I'll make it official on both computers.

But Google Desktop has never seen a computer like mine. 600 gigs spanning 8 years of emails, text files, web clippings, images, videos, documents, spreadsheets, presentations, design folders, applications, random downloads, and other crap. This has been "indexing" all morning so far. Even note my GMail inbox, which has 98 "new" messages in the "Inbox" which I've been meticulously pruning and filtering. Most of the MUG, Flavorpill, Flickr, eBay, Craigslist, Dodgeball, etc. mails get filed automatically, so you know that number is way higher. This doesn't even include the 4000 unread messages on my Hotmail and AOL accounts. Good luck, Google Desktop - you'll need it.
