sketch44

I spent a day working deep within an underground coal mine (a mile in) to help direct part of a commercial. I can say that this was by far one of the most tense work days I have ever had, or will likely ever have. I can also say that the men and women who help power the world we live in certainly do not get paid nearly enough, no matter how much money they make and I have so much respect for each of them and the risks they take to provide for their families. It's a hostile environment in extremely tough and volatile conditions.

We had it very easy but none of us felt safe. The few sketches I made on the outside really do no justice to their profession but it's a way for me to look back on this day and remember the things that made it unique.

Thanks for all you do.
