This is the dead Nimbus waiting patiently while I dug his grave. Some dogs which I accepted to care for took some training to not chase cats, and in that and the dog dominance stuggles, this good cat. The mother of the four nyjha cat, and a good being. Nice and smart and partly trainable. Nimbus was my first cat I ever had. I bought him for 15 pesos when Katie was down. He was so cute. Later he became a woman because he got pregnant which was very surprising. Even more suprising because I didn't know until "he" was having babies on my bed. It was a surprise to me more than her. She knew what she was doing and did many weird things. She was very good at putting the kittens in a safe secret place. We raised the kittens and it was fun. It is hard for cats to live in this forest. One drown in the pool. No matter what wall, pools seem to be a serious safety hazard if done at all wrong. And the other... I don't recall the death. I probably blocked it out. But two of Nimbuses black kittens live on. They are not spayed. Given the survival rate I am not too worried about a surplus. The black cats are now older and quite strong. the dogs do not bother them and in fact make the cats much safer. The cats kill the mice and rodents. They can even take down a bat sometimes! The other two cats are fixed and really wonderful cats! Dusk Midnight and Kali Spot. I include this photo because it is good to remember that some risks are very real.
