Taking the spring air
Explored #102! Many thanks to all who fav'd and commented, feedback always welcome.
Trying out a friend's Sigma 10-20 EX DC wide angle on my D3 and I have to say it's pretty sharp. Not the best angle for a lady and even worse with a wide angle but it came out reasonably undistorted. f22 because it was very bright here with the sun behind and the big reflection from the water and at that aperture the light falls off quickly to the top left corner of the image giving lots of deep saturation.
Very lucky my model didn't get wet here as all who know the area at Caldecotte Lake opposite the Caldecotte arms know that there is a 2 foot drop from the edge of the bank to the water. She was standing right on the edge with the lens about 2 feet away. As stuad70 points out it was also very chilly in the wind thus my model has some serious goose pimples on the chest. The overly bright light on the throat is partly due to post processing but mainly to do with compensating for the rapidly changing light. With the wind moving fairly quickly one moment we were in shade the next in blazing sunlight.
Strobist Bowens 750+ at 1/2 power with Travelpak power source through shoot thru brolly at about 2 feet left of model.
