borrowed time
"Share your photos. Watch the world." That's the tagline, right? I have to admit, I don't intend on posting as often as I do. In fact, I really want to cut back and work harder to improve the quality of my images; I think one a day is too many for me. Trouble is - and I wonder if you feel this way about your own work - when I make a photo that really excites me personally, I want to share it.
Of course, I mean this on an emotional level, not from a perspective of assuming the work is technically brilliant, and surely not to chase after Explore, or compare views and favorites with someone else. It's kind of like how some people have a passion for cooking, I think. You put your love into making something, and then you just want someone else to [hopefully] enjoy it. It doesn't necessarily have to be indulged by the masses, and certainly not everyone has to love it, but just the idea of sharing it makes it a joy.
The irony of it all is that, aside from my wife and one or two family members, barely a handful of all the folks in my personal galaxy have any idea that I even make pictures, let alone that I'm so in love with the artform...
