Jalan-jalan Cari Makan / Walk Around To Find Good Food

Builder: Brandon Wyc (Malaysia)

In conjunction with Malaysia's 60th anniversary of its independence celebration. I have created a LEGO build based on multiracial, colourful and unique culture of Malaysia. This MOC is an imaginative and artistic diorama builld with the concept of “Jalan-jalan Cari Makan"/ Walk Around To Find Good Food.

The size of this MOC is 96 studs x 96 studs x 56cm(Height). 4 sides view. The Main structure at the center is a imaginative 3 storeys building structure that build with the combination of Malaysia's multiracial historical architectures faced. The interior of the center building is where some local food stalls located. stairs will connected each floor from ground to the top. The 4 side Exterior are the scene of 2 small town road side, 1 small village river side and 1 village sea side. Varies type of Malaysia local food stalls are located all around the interior of the center building and also around the 4 different scene.

Thus, it create a fun and happening diorama that people are walking around to find their favorite food.

Rationale:-

Malaysia is a multiracial country rich in cultural heritage. It is a colourful and unique country with a diversity of races, religions and cultures. Here, people strongly believe in respecting each other’s culture and religion. People are living in harmony and united. And “food” is one of the major factor that bring us all Malaysians closer and together as one big family. This is because Malaysians are all food lovers.

Finding local food in Malaysia is easy. From north to south and east to west. Up and down and left and right. We will be surrounded by various types of Malay, Chinese and Indian local food stalls and restaurants. However, we (Malaysian food lovers) always crave to look for the best food to satisfy our taste desire. And to do that, we will need to travel and walk around or jalan-jalan with our family and friends to find the best local food all around Malaysia.

Some best local food stalls are located at the villages and small towns. While finding them, it is the best time for us to take a short break and enjoy the scene of the villages, small town heritage architectures and of course to make some friends with the friendly local people. It's surely a worthy jalan-jalan cari makan experience. This is because Malaysia is a truly Asian food paradise.
