Golden years ............
One of the few advantages from the current pandemic for me as a photographer, is the lack of people on the streets. I took this image on a Friday afternoon. Normally the street would be packed with people doing there last X-mas groceries or leaving there work. It would be a challenge to remove all of them in the final image. But now there were hardly any people around.
This gorgeous building dates back to 1804. In the late 1800's it served as Hotel De Keizer (the Imperial hotel). After that it had several different functions. But since 2019, after more than a century it is a hotel again. After a thorough restoration, Hotel Finch is ready to welcome visitors. For now, we only have to wait for people to come back. Let's hope that will be soon.
