this is not an umbrella

Starting to prototype an overhead screen for my thesis. I want it to be collapsable and hemispherical, so naturally an umbrella came to mind. Will purchase cheap synthetic dense weave fabric in the next few days, and some sort of stiff wire to extend the umbrella wires into a roughly 9' diameter and 6' high dome.
