end of the day, Day four
The season started on the coast.
In years of little snow it would start in Febuary. The days were short and the weather inclement.
This is Patty Smith, originally from Belfast, Ireland. Smitty, as he was affectionatly known, loved to talk, the gift of the gab, the irish would say.Often times working with Patty I would hear him talking but have no idea what he was saying garbled by the wind whistling around my ears.
Patty Smith had a kind nature and loved a laugh. He now lives in a smaller city with Sandy Beach, another planter. As far as I know they are still going out to plant.
