Jim Baggett, head of the Archives and Manuscripts Department at the Birmingham Public Library, visited the Magic City Acceptance Center to share Louise Wooster's story of being a resilient outsider in the late 1800s. Participants received free copies of Baggett's book, "A Woman on the Town.
The Magic City Acceptance Center provides a safe, supportive and affirming space for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, or Questioning (LGBTQ) youth and adults, ages 13-24,in Birmingham and surrounding areas.
