Last year I went on a quick trip to Colorado to shoot pictures with Dan Ballard, an absolutely amazing photographer. The first morning we went to Maroon Lake, which lies beneath Maroon Bells. This is an often-photographed lake, but it's an amazing sight to behold as the leaves change colors in the fall. I got this shot off right as the peaks were "basking" in the morning light...which only lasted a few minutes.
