2022.09.14.8023.Z7ii Ndugu Watatu
Ndugu watatu -- three brothers. These three lion siblings -- (from left) Osupak, Olepolos and Olkitok -- among them control two prides -- the Topi and the Rekaro -- in the Masai Mara reserve. They came together very late on a cloudy evening as darkness was quickly settling in, so focus, sharpness and composition rapidly deteriorated. Some members of the safari got better shots, some worse, but I'm keeping and posting this because it was a cool moment. (Note: I'm pretty sure I identified each correctly based upon identifying marks provided by a guide.) Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya, Sept. 2022.
