BEAR ROCKS PRESERVE - DOLLY SODS WV

Located at the north end of Dolly Sods atop the Allegheny Front the preserve is owned by the Nature Conservancy. The Allegheny Front is an east facing escarpment which forms a boundary between the folded Ridge and Valley Province to the east and the Appalachian Plateau to the west. The area around Bear Rocks supports a subalpine heathland.
