Microformats are begining to matter when you can do things like this ~ notice the firefox plugin finding the contact information for Ben Ward, Ryan and uWink with commodity bits of code.
The plugins are Operator which picks up hCard, hCalendar, geo, hReview, tag, hResume & xFolk and allows you to do things with the data (Actions).
