One the second hottest day of the year (it cracked 43) I happed to go past this large structure in operation. It was to my surprise when today I heard this news report, Structural buckling forces Melbourne Wheel closure. The 38 story, 40 million dollar, 21 platform ferris wheel has buckled under the extreme heat of 4x40+ degree celcius days in a row.
The shots are taken about 11am in the morning. Believe me it was hot.
