Outlook Express team re-formed
Found an interesting spaces.msn.com/bryanstarbuck/Blog/cns!B35BDF47679FCA8D!43... (Bryan Starbuck: Channel 9 Video of Outlook Express in Windows Vista) dated 3/3/2006 - 2006MAR03 on the new Outlook Express team. This is a shot of Bryan Starbuck, lead on the the renamed Windows Mail (Express is more descriptive).
Observations
But this time instead of crappy sound & cheesy red skin (the previous ms video codec was crap) we get a 100% improvement on a Win2K system running a Nero player for Win32.
Ask the engineer
Never believe marketing. Here Bryan debunks a lot of marketing crap associated with Express still being worked on but *quietly* . If you want to find something out, ask the engineers. They dont lie (as much). Bryan and his team have been flat out submitting software patents on vaguely described processes to do with email and contexts and phones. I'll add the links at some other time.
Nice to see MS working hard at innovating.
