AMC AMX

A 1969 AMX. With a hood scoop. Red. With white stripes. Oh yes.

"The AMC AMX was an automobile produced by the American Motors Corporation. The AMX was a shorter two-seat version of the longer AMC Javelin pony car. The AMX featured a performance chassis and serious power in the GT tradition, but at a budget price.

This was the first American steel-bodied, two seat production model since the 1957 Ford Thunderbird. The only other two-seat domestic sports car at that time was the Chevrolet Corvette. American Motors maximized the performance car connection by having race drivers Craig Breedlove and Lee Breedlove set 106 world speed records with the new AMX."
