This has to be the worst possible leg configuration to build solidly! Under load, the upper & lower sections act as two big levers, torquing the hell out of the center knee axle.
In this maxed-out minimal position, the upper section frame runs up against the lower section, taking most of the load. Moving the joint up at all puts all the load on the axle, and busts ABS. Likewise with the ankle - you can see the cheese grater resting on the 1x2 slope, taking most of the load.
I need to go back to engineering school.
