Under attack! An Emperor dragonfly laying her eggs in the water is harassed by a male Common Blue damselfly who has actually landed on her.

The dragonfly was not apparently bothered by the damselfly. Male damselflies frequently attack egg laying Emperors, even appearing to bite them, but to little effect. I have no idea why they do this - can't think what the evolutionary benefit of this behaviour would be.
