Crafty time...
So, if you've seen my photographs, you might be able to infer that I'm a naturalist, whether by force (i.e., no Photoshop expert) or choice (I can do it without tricks! --ha), but sometimes it can be frustrating to have an idea for a photo in my mind and no way to make it work out in reality....enter all these wonderful stands I've seen other talented, creative flickr members making and using for their photos.....and enter an engineering hubby who used pvc piping to quiet my whining.
The bottom pipes on the floor were cut to steady the stand on each side, but I think you could also use two pipes of original length to also support--though it might look a bit like a soccer goal. You could probably also extend the stand to be as tall or long as you'd like, and cutting again could also make it shorter. (this is about 24 inches high by 24 inches wide). One caution is that if a stand like this is to be taken outdoors for photos, it will need painted to strengthen the piping first!
Many, many thanks to all those before me who have illustrated their own ways to create a stand or informed me about the erasing photoshop trick to get rid of the fishing line string. I hope this helps those still grasping with how to "build" a stand of their own. Good luck!
