Arriva Kent & Surrey 3901 (BX56 VTU) heads out of Guildford with the new X1 to Horsham, in place of one of the two coaches.
The X1 is a new service between Guildford and Horsham. It started on Tuesday 2nd May 2017, and runs directly via the A281 rather than via Cranleigh like the 63.
A pair of ex-New Enterprise coaches are allocated to the service, with some branding for the route.
Update: the coaches would last only a few months before being replaced to save cost by the Mercedes Sprinter minibuses that had been removed from the 3 (their introduction on that service having been a disaster), and the whole service was withdrawn on 9th March 2018, less than a year after it started.
They had already tried two buses an hour between Guildford and Horsham with the 63X service between September 2014 and March 2016, and then reversed it back to hourly, so whoever thought the X1 would succeed didn't really have a clue.
