Dart at The Village
Metrobus 344 (X344 YGU) stands at 'The Village' terminus at Weston Drive.
Annoyingly, I didn't quite get there in time, so by the time I'd got to the front of the bus, the driver had switched the engine off and the LEDs turned off. He then went shopping (and ended up leaving late) - so I had to abandon waiting and walk back to Chaldon Road to see the last Surrey Connect operated 540. Annoyingly, even though I got there in time for the 540 (just!), I didn't see it, so it must have been running the last journey early :(
Surrey CC Bus Review phase 2, from September 2011, saw the 541 and 542 withdrawn - replaced by the new 509 off peak, and the 409 (being diverted into The Village) at peak times.
By this point, the 541/2 were into the last two weeks, and 344, the regular bus, had already been de-branded.
