Cross Canada 004

The north shore of Lake Superior the following morning. During the night, the Montreal and Toronto sections of the Canadian were combined in Sudbury picking up more coaches, sleeping cars another dome car and a second full service dining car. The train will take 4 days and three nights to traverse the 4400 km between Toronto and Vancouver. Here, as seen from the Waterton Park car on the rear of the train, the locomotives have just emerged from a tunnel that we have yet to enter. The north shore of Lake Superior was one of the unsung hilights of the CP route.
