Rhombic Dodecahedron Housing Modules
The Wrong and the Right Angle.
There is much discussion as to why we generally live in cubic based architecture of 6 X 4 = 24 right angles.
We stand erect, at an angle of 90 degrees to the ground, balancing ourselves against the effect of gravity.
In order to build shelter it was soon realized that, by using a cubic brick, gravity was a strong force that would hold our stone structures together.
Since then, we, as humans, have been building and living in cubic shaped structures for a very, very long time in comparison with other non cubic forms of architecture.
Time enough to have the whole concept of orthogonality engrained into our psyche.
Look around you and notice the lack of anything that hasn't got 90 degrees in its form
We view our world in three dimensions --- length, width,and height
Consider the synonym for an angle of ninety degrees:
"the right angle".
We form our environment and our environment forms us.
"The more our world functions like the natural world, the more likely we are to endure on this home that is ours, but not ours alone."

Our "Right Angle " is rarily seen in the works of "Mother Nature" whereas 60, 72 and 120 degrees are much more prevalent..
Nature would propose a housing design based on the rhombic dodecahedron which has a 3 axes grid. (Bubbles Pomegranites, Garnet crystals), Structures in nature show superior design strategies and aesthetically resonate with our most fundamental sense of proportion and balance.
There is a line of thought that would argue that buildings can greatly assist us vibrationally to evolve into a new consciousness.
Tetrahedral bonds form the predominant relationships in both our silicon-based inorganic world and the carbon-based living organisms.
This is one aggregational form of the structure I would love to build.
It is essentially 10 RDs (1-3-6) .
The reason it has not been built, by anyone at all, on a larger scale is because there was no real satisfactory method of joining the posts to the beams.
The bracket that I have invented to overcome this problem is what Buckminster Fuller would have described as a "Joint for Isotropic Vector Equilibrium Matrix".

Any aggregation of RD's can now be easily constructed for the first time with a simple bracket allowing us to enter into a new phase of natural green architecture.
