Samuel S. Linville (KIA, May 9, 1968), 4th squad, 3rd platoon, A Co. 1/5 Inf. 25th Inf. Div.

Picture taken Christmas day, 1967. Sam, later in 1st squad, and two others were killed when a box of grenades exploded near them. We were guarding the perimeter at Tan Son Nhut air base near Saigon at the time. Sam was a real warrior.

The other two Bobcats killed were Claude D. Protz and James V. Antolini. Claude had only been in Vietnam three weeks when KIA. Picture taken Christmas day '67 at Katum base camp.
