Turkey Vulture In A Live Oak Tree

For this image, i was in a dark, heavily wooded area of the reserve and was fortunate to be successful with a slow shutter speed. The Turkey Vulture (Cathartes aura) measures 26-32 inches (65-80 cm) from beak-tip to tail-tip. This one is sitting among the spanish moss and resurrection fern in a tree at Circle B Bar Reserve. This wetland reserve is located south of Lakeland, Florida.
