"Today Was A Good Day"
After hearing NJT MM2 go west over the Townley Detector a little before noon and K142 get clearance out onto CSAO, it sounded like today's lunch break would be a decent one. Just after 12:30, the radio came alive: "MM2 with the 6048, you have permission through the work limits." That was all we needed to hear and we were headed trackside. Just as MM2 called the signal at 13, CSX K142 called an approach from the opposite direction. While this MM2 didn't steal away a GP40 from the MMC, the PL's meeting the oil train still made for an interesting meet. Being patient paid off today.
