1986: Modern Joes

The 25th anniversary line did not focus on the characters from 1986 very much. Only '86 Hawk, '86 Roadblock and Beachhead(not the version pictured here) were sold on cards. The version of Beachhead shown here, which is more accurate to the '86 version, was sold in a two pack with fellow class of '86 alumni Mainframe or "Dataframe" as he was horribly re-named.

Some other '86 characters were released as 25th Anniversary vehicle drivers, such as Leatherneck, Lift Ticket and Slipstream.

Wetsuit would appear in an online exclusive multipack that was full of awesome and which I could not afford.

The 30th line would be kinder to this group, providing us with great new versions of Lifeline (shown here, he has a fantastic variety of accessories), LowLight and Sci-Fi , the later two of which I was unfortunately, never able to find in stores.

It has fallen upon the shoulders of the Collector's Club to produce figures for characters like Dial-tone and Iceberg, who never seem to get any love from Hasbro these days.

The L.A.W. (Laser Artillery Weapon) shown here is a reissue from the "Rise of Cobra" line.
