Action Man Adventurer

I recently finished off my custom Adventurer figure with the addition of some genuine vintage clothes courtesy of eBay.

The Action Man line didn't have an entire team of adventurers like their American counterparts did. Instead they had 2 Adventurers, one blonde and one with brown hair, both bearded, both with blue eyes. From 1970-72 they had the "hard hands" and wore these funky blue jeans, but sported a white turtleneck and some very unique tan hiking boots. When the "gripping hands" came out in 1973, they switched to dark blue turtlenecks and black boots as white was not a very good color for adventuring. They would maintain this look as they transitioned to having eagle eyes and dynamic physiques up until the line was cancelled.

Internationally, similar figures could be found on the continent. When Geyperman came out in Spain in 1975, one of the Adventurer figures in that line kept the white turtleneck/blue jeans outfit of the earlier Action Man version, they also added a shoulder holster and pistol reminiscent of the AT. in France, "Action Joe" copied the same blue turtleneck/blue jeans/black boots look for their Adventurer figures Tom (blonde beard) and Joe (brown beard) figures and like Spain, added a shoulder holster and pistol. In Germany, the same look was sported by the Action Team's "Bob Power" who was a blonde bearded eagle eye figure. In Italy, the same figure as Bob Power was sold and in the same outfit, but didn't have a name like his French and German cousins.
