*2009-03-25 Mount Zion Hike

The Wednesday Irregulars (myself, Peter Ireland, Nick and Jyoti Shah) decided upon the same destination, Mount Zion, as the Regulars. Since we are slower hikers, we started from Chantry Flat at 8:00 a.m., whereas the Regulars started about 9:30. We also took the shorter route via the Upper Winter Creek Trail, reaching the summit at 11:20. We had just about finished our lunch when the Regulars, under the leadership of Doris Duval and Brooks Treidler, showed up. It was a beautiful day of perfect weather, with a number of wildflowers starting to pop out.
