Out by the Washita River

Down in Oklahoma, and out by the Washita (Wash-ta) River on the way from Davis to Hennepin, stands a vast, hardwood forest. Composed mostly of blackjack oak, wild pecan, and hickory, its beauty is breath taking.

This stand is just outside Davis, just across the highway from the Washita river.

I framed this and gave it to my mother for Christmas.
