Curtains of Lights (Part 2)
Another angle for the grapes leaves, with some sprayed drops for refreshing effect :)
Tips: - if you would like to read :)
how to use the day light in different angles: (I don't use flash at all)
here, the photo is already dark, I didn't want to increase the brightness because I love dark colors, except on the leaf a little to make it under spotlight, and some contrast made for the background.
the background is composed by several other trees lightened by the sun lights at the time between 4-5 pm, it's one of the best times for photographing, i.e: before the sunset a while, when the sun shines with mix of red and orange lights.
the darkness cause is that the grapes trees are so dense together, so I chose a spot where I sat under their shadow and make the lightened trees in front of me, that how to use the shining subjects as backgrounds to generate bokeh, without the need of extra lights or flash.
the best times for using the sun lights: at dawn or very early morning (6-8 am), and before sunset a little (4-6 pm).
in the previous grapes photo, the same leaf as a subject, but from the completely opposite position, 180° :))
the sun is almost in front of me, with angle, I use the same tree leaves to reduce the sun lights, and kept moving slowly until I could see the lights penetrating through the leaves and shining the different sides of them to also make a bokeh mixed from the leaves and sun, and also there were other trees around to support the density !! :))
making the dark trees as boundaries and the sun lights in the center, and that's it :)
so, it's either making the sun-lightened subjects as background, or the sun light itself.
this time I didn't change the settings because I liked the green as it is, but with changing the exposure and white balance and focus mode, you will get different results each time.
as in the previous one, Exposure: 1/800, White balance: Shade, Focus Area: Center
the sun is at my left side, so you can see the lights are coming from left, no support trees around, only the lonely tree itself :))
Hope that will help, Khawar !! :))
