Angels at Nottingham Road Cemetery...I can’t help feeling a sense of morbid fascination when looking at these monuments.

 

The Victorians did have a certain style when it came to celebrating someone who had shuffled off this mortal coil.

 

I did note however, as I read the epitaphs, that falling asleep in those times was swiftly followed by being interred!
